CHURCH PLANTING

Every Church a Parent or Partner

We are excited about the many churches that are actively involved in either parenting or partnering with other churches in the development of new faith communities across our district. We want to encourage every existing congregation to become actively involved in starting new a new church/faith community, to invest in our current efforts and assist in the revitalization of an existing ministry.

If you are looking for an opportunity to become involved please contact the District Home Missions Department and/or your Sectional Home Missions Committee. We would love to come along side of you and assist you in your effort to either launch and parent a new faith community or involve you as a partner in the development of other emerging efforts or connect you to our current Church Planting projects.

Partnering Efforts— Speaking of partnering there are a number of significant ways that you can partner with our church planting leaders. Here are few ideas:

Mobilization of prayer teams to pray for and with our church planting teams. For example once a month Members from Christian Life Church in Farmington join the leadership team at Church in Uptown for their weekly prayer walk through Uptown. Also many intercessors through the Aaron and Hur Intercession Ministry pray have been mobilized to daily pray for the churches in our Inner Cities.

Recruiting ministry teams and releasing them to be involved in ministry in our new churches provides the additional human resource that can be invaluable to our new churches.

Assisting with the construction of new buildings or the remodeling of new acquired facilities is a tremendous help for our developing ministries. We have a number of ministries that have new, existing or impending construction efforts. Crossroads Christian Assembly in Crosslake, Harvest Christian Center in Isanti, Place of Hope in St. Cloud, St. Paul City Church in St. Paul, Community Celebration Church in Byron, Bigfork A/G in Bigfork are some of our Home Missions churches in various stages of building development.

"Providing personal care" for our church planting families is a great point of investment. Many of our congregations bless our church planters and their families during the Christmas holidays and on their birthdays and at other times with "random acts of kindness." These are great morale builders!

Obviously financial investment is another major area of partnership. We are so grateful for the financial partnership of so many that is critical to the birthing of our new faith communities.
