Christmas Stocking Project

We have chosen to assist the local churches in the gathering and distribution of over 3000 filled stockings from local churches. These stockings go to Children who otherwise would not receive a Christmas gift. They will be distributed to inner city and many diverse ministries across Minnesota. For many churches, Women’s Ministries Christmas Stockings have become the centerpiece of their Christmas Outreach.  No two stockings are ever the same; they are all beautiful and send the message, “Jesus loves you.”

New for 2008

Step 1:

    Obtain the stocking pattern from the Bridging the Gap office.

Step 2:

    Contact a church or organization and ask them how many stockings they would like to receive.

Step 3:

    Coordinate your women's ministry group to make the stockings. We suggest that you involve your girls ministries as well!

Step 4:

    Fill the stockings, tie or sew the tops shut, and label each stocking for gender and age group.

Step 5:

    PRAY over the stockings and their recipients.

Step 6:

    Deliver the stockings to the church or organization you have chosen.

Step 7:

    Call BTG and let us know how many stockings you delivered and where you delivered them.
