Who We Are

The mission of Bridging the Gap is to share the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ with women across Minnesota and our world!

A woman’s approach to life and faith vary greatly from person to person, as do the gifts and talents bestowed by the Holy Spirit. Bridging the Gap Women’s Ministries brings together women from across the state and helps them find the right opportunity to share their gifts so that they can bring the love of Jesus Christ to those around them. Along the way, women find lasting friendships with other Christian women and they learn how their ministry to others builds up the body of Christ within their communities. By living life in Christ’s example, women change not only themselves, but also the women around them, leading others to live with the love of God.

Through this ministry, Christian women are touching the world in a widening variety of creative ways. They are reaching beyond personal interests and comfort zones to embrace women of all ages, races, religions, and social standings.

So, whether you live in a rural community or a metropolitan area, whether you want to share your gifts once or over the course of many weeks, there is a ministry waiting for you. Our world is changing rapidly, and so are the needs of women. We as Christians must be relevant to those we want to reach. Women’s Ministries - Unlimited! emphasizes the unlimited opportunities open to women for ministry in their local churches and communities. Every woman should be ministered to according to her need, and every born-again woman should be encouraged to find her place of ministry within the body of Christ.

It’s more than a label, it’s a lifestyle.

Many women today don’t have the time or the interest in spending time at "just another meeting." We must reach out to women at the point of their needs. Women’s Ministries can do this by offering various Ministry Groups. Living like Jesus and ministering to the needs of others should be a lifestyle for every Christian. People want to see that the Christ-controlled life makes a difference and gives meaning to their existence.

Bridging the Gap… believes prayer and the Word needs to be the foundation of a women’s life and of a thriving and growing Women’s Ministries organization. We want to assist the local church by offering resources that support these truths.

It’s more that a program, it’s a passion.

We must have passionate hearts to see women discover their God-given gifts and find their place of ministry within the body of Christ. Without passion in our leadership, women will not develop spiritually and their needs will go unmet. It is impossible for a leader to be effective if she isn’t passionate about what she is doing.

Bridging the Gap… is committed to assist the local church to reach biblical principles, and train and educate women to fulfill the call of leadership in their area of ministry.

It’s more than service, its servanthood.

Too many Christians today believe that service means "serve me." However, true servanthood is motivated by a loving concern for others. No greater example of this servanthood exists than in the life Jesus Christ. Women can find many channels of opportunity to practice servanthood. View a list of opportunities!

Bridging the Gap… believes the most effective and unlimited opportunities to reach women is at the local level. We want to assist them by providing subject matter, experts and material resources for key areas of women’s issues.

A variety of Ministry Groups can help teach biblical principles of leadership and practical tools for reaching and ministering to the women of this unique generation and diverse culture.

The mission of Women’s Ministries is to reach women, to disciple them and to help bring wholeness and balance to their lives. By providing an atmosphere for women to strengthen their gifts and by training them to find their places of ministry, women can successfully touch their world for Christ.

Bridging the Gap… provides an annual retreat and conference that offers such an atmosphere with state and nationally known plenary speakers. We provide churches with the tools to host local events.

It’s more than a project, it’s a purpose.

Our purpose is to fulfill God’s purpose. Paul wrote to the Galatians, "Through love serve one another." Every born-again woman should have at least one ministry where she is involved in serving others. Through Women’s Ministries many opportunities exist where every woman can be motivated to find her place of service. If you are not involved, ask God where He would have you begin.

Bridging the Gap… provides unlimited ministry opportunities for churches to consolidate their efforts as a district for the needs of others, within the state, the country, and the world. We encourage local churches to use their resources and be involved in community projects.
