         

Mexico City is located in south central Mexico and is one of the largest cities in the world with a metro population of over 18.7 million people. It was built on the ruins of Tenochtitlán, which was the capital of the Aztec Empire. It became the capital of Mexico when the country won independence from Spain in the 1820s. It is a predominantly Roman Catholic country and the main language is Spanish. Passport: Passports are required for this trip and are not included in the trip cost. There is a fee of $97 for those 16 or older, $82 if under 16.
